Gundogan is situated at only a few minutes drive in the west of Yalikavak. It is quite and peacefull place which is still more or less unspoiled despite the holiday developments on the surrounding hills. Since the north of the Bodrum peninsula has often a fresh breeze, Many surfers prefer Gundogan Area.

GündoğanGondogan, ancient Farilya, has been always an important town for fishing, sponge diving, olive and tangerine growing. Unfortunately, some of those activities stopped in the recent years.

Main body of the town is situated inland on the major highway running between Yalikavak and Golturkbuku. Caves, Wind mills, Cisterns, Rock Cut Monasteries bear witness to great past of Gundogan.

Gundogan Beach, which is one of the longest in Bodrum peninsula, it is beautifully situated among the tangerine, olive and pine trees. Nearby Rabbit and Apostol islands attract many visitors. Yali Mosque with its attractive Minaret and wind Mills are interesting to see. Gundogan bay is quite suitable for sailing and surfing. It is very attractive area for sponge diving and underwater photography.
