City Walls of Halicarnasus
The city walls of Halicarnasus still bear witness to glorious past of the city and is one of the few survived monuments of the city. Visitors can easily follow the former city walls and walk around the former city borders. When King Mousolos moved his capital from Mylasa to halicarnassos, he embellished his city with great monuments. As he did in many other cities, he also built magnificent city walls. Unfortunately, famous Mylasa Gate and part of the city walls are ruined.
